The Beth Israel Connection

The Beth Israel Connection has been created to foster community spirit and to respond to the needs of our congregants. The Beth Israel Connection will try to help meet physical, emotional and social needs (which do not require professional expertise) by providing volunteer assistance or referring members to the appropriate organization/professional resources. There are a variety of needs that could be addressed, such as assistance because of illnesses, acute and chronic, and people going through life transitions or crises.

The Beth Israel Connection asks congregants to volunteer services such as transportation, home and hospital visits, preparation of meals, babysitting, shopping, housekeeping, and running errands, and making regular phone calls to shut-ins and the frail elderly. Volunteers can indicate either a short or long term commitment.

Please send comments or suggestions to The Beth Israel Webmaster.
