Youth and Family Programming at BIC

Beth Israel Congregation offers a wide and exciting variety of programming for our youth and families! Our goal is to create fun religious experiences where kids and families can connect to each other and to Judaism. Whether that be our high schoolers leading USY programming, tots singing at Tot Shabbat services, or 6th graders learning Jewish history in BIRS, we want our youth to build the strong foundation, desire, and confidence needed to live proud Jewish lives. We also host events to bring BIC families together with fun Jewish programming at BIC and around Ann Arbor.

Believing that having a holistic relationship with Judaism is important to maintaining that relationship throughout one's life, we aim to create programming that approaches Judaism from all angles. We offer social programming for our youth groups (Chaverim for 3rd-5th, Gesher for 6th-8th, USY for 9th-12th) and whole-family events; educational programming in the form of BIRS (K-7th), Madrichim at BIRS (8th-12th), and Hebrew High(er) Learning (9th-12th); and religious programming through youth services like Camp-Style Shabbats, Tot Shabbat, and Mini Minyan. Feel free to dive deeper into what BIC offers our families by looking through the full Youth menu! Please know that all youth programming is open to the entire community, not just Beth Israel Members.

All youth and family events for the rest of 2024 are listed on our calendar- look for the yellow tags. 2025 dates until June will be released shortly. To see dates for each youth group's events, please see those pages. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ben Brent, Youth & Family Programming Specialist, benb@bethisrael-aa.org, or Lynne Caine, Director of Beth Israel Religious School, lynnecaine@bethisrael-aa.org.
